Philip Morris Spain has been operating in the Spanish market since 1971 and has two headquarters: the head office in Madrid and a regional headquarters in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The company currently employs around 1,000 people in Spain.
Our brands are among the top ten best-selling tobacco brands in the Spanish market, with Marlboro being the leading cigarette brand. But our vision for smokers does not end there. For more than 15 years, Philip Morris has led an unprecedented transformation to reduce the health impact of our products by promoting heat-not-burn and smoke-free alternatives, in which we have invested over USD 14 billion internationally.
In Spain, this transformation became a reality in 2016 with the launch of IQOS, our tobacco heating device, with a clear goal: to offer adult smokers a better alternative than continuing to smoke cigarettes.
